Manx RG totals February 2011
It was a quiet month, not helped by the wet weather but Sean managed to get some good field sightings of both colour ringed and metal ringed birds with a new Whooper Swan 'F9X' seen and an Oystercatcher with a metal ring photographed allowing the number to be confirmed. We will let you know where and when it was ringed as soon as we get the informantion back from the BTO.
We also saw some more short movements of our colour ringed Rock Pipits. Hopefully, as the breeding season kicks in, we may see some larger movements as birds disperse to their territories, or even disperse off-island perhaps?
