Garden ringing

I met up with Sean this morning at the garden feeder site in the Ballaugh Curraghs. We had a decent morning, catching 104 birds, 60 new and 44 retraps.

Robin 9 (+1 retrap)
Blackbird 4
Coal Tit 1 (+2 retraps)
Blue Tit 14 (+23 retraps)
Great Tit 12 (+14 retraps)
Chaffinch 7
Goldfinch 13 (+4 retraps)

We also had a big female Sparrowhawk 'bounce' the net and get away.
It was good to catch yet more birds ringed as chicks in the nearby nest boxes that we monitor every year. One Great Tit was into its 6th year when caught this morning.
